This is a pack of words and worksheets that can be used as part of your weekly spelling or literacy program.
In this pack you will find 100 words that are all positive character traits. These can be printed, cut out, laminated if you wish and then displayed. There are also 5 different display pages you can choose from if you wish to have an area in your room for the ‘word of the week’. The words pack come in colour and black and white for you to choose from.
 
There are 20 worksheet templates. Each worksheet asks the same questions so the children will get used to the format and what they need to do. You could do the same worksheet each week or change it up.
 
I used this in my class as part of my spelling program. I wanted to promote the positive traits within my room. It was just a one off 20-30 minute activity we did once a week. The word stayed displayed throughout the week and I was able to refer to it throughout the day.
 
Each week I would choose one of the character trait words. We would then discuss and brainstorm what the word meant and other questions the worksheet would ask. This helped prepare the children to fill out the worksheet individually and gave an opportunity to clear up any queries the children had about the word being used as some are easier than others to understand!
