This is a start of the year art activity for a classroom display.
The children all decorate their own ‘arm’. This is not to be rushed. The arm must represent them and things that are important to them. Talk to the class about this before starting the activity.
They must include their name somewhere on the arm, big and clear enough to be seen.
Cut out their finished arm.
One way to use the ‘arms’ in a classroom display,
is to arrange the arms all together in a circle,
hands in the middle.
The idea is that it portrays a sports ‘hands in’.
The title for this is “We are all in this together”. There is an option available with this resource that can be printed and put in the middle of the circle.
