Emotional Response - Individual Response Activity
I know what I can do to help me feel better.
This activity can be used to create an individual plan for a student for emotional regulation.
The student chooses what strategies they will use to help them when they need to calm down.
Included:
1) A boy and a girl template page to choose from, each surrounded by 7 empty boxes. They can colour in the picture.
- 2 boxes for something to say to myself.
- 1 box for a breathing technique.
- 2 boxes for something to do focusing on hands.
- *2 boxes for something to do focusing on legs/feet – movement.
2) 4 sheets with 9 tile options on each.
The student can choose from the tiles provided.
They choose the things that will work for them. It is good to choose things that they already like to do.
Once they have chosen, cut out the tiles and paste them into the matching boxes.
There is also a page with blank tiles to use if the student has different ideas they would prefer.
